 Tryout Q&A:

  •  What do I need to do before Tryouts?

You MUST Pre-register for tryouts. Registration for tryouts include - $10 tryout fee, OVR Waiver and OVR Medical Release Form and completion of the Registration form on our website before tryouts.

Any registrations received after November 1st for ALL AGES will be considered late (We have to order shirts for tryouts)

Any late registration will be $15 and the two forms filled out and completed.

OVR Forms can be found @ our
    OVR TRYOUT LINK

    • How do I register if I cannot attend the parent / preregistration meeting on Saturday October 10th or Sunday October 25th?

You will need to send the registration forms and fee to (Checks made payable to Cincy East VBC):
(note that any checks that bounce will result in a $25 fee)

    Paul Fultz
    6640 Chestnut St
    Cincinnati OH 45227

    • How do I know if my daughter has been pre-registered?

Once your daughter has been registered you will receive an email from the Club Director letting you know that we have all completed paperwork and we will include the tryout date and time we are expecting your daughter to tryout. If something were wrong this would be the time we can correct it.

An example of something being wrong is that your daughter is 15 (turning 16 soon) and wants to tryout at the 17 & Under team but we have her down for the 16 & Under tryout. This just gives us a chance to confirm everything after the fun and hectic parents meeting!

We will start sending email confirmations out at the end of October (or when we receive them after October). If you do not get one by October 31st (if you have completed everything by then: the payment, paperwork and filled out the online form) do not hestitate to email
    cincyeastvolleyball@yahoo.com or call me @ 513-256-7223.

    • What does my daughter need to bring to tryouts?

First she needs to come relaxed. Yes it can be nerve racking, but a nervous girl plays like a nervous girl! Second BRING your volleyball shoes (do not wear them in), a water bottle, knee pads (if you use them), and workout clothes. We give the girls a T-Shirt to tryout in with a # on it so we can identify with them. Show up early because that time is a start of tryouts. The last thing your daughter should bring is a will/can do attitude!

    • Can I watch my daughter tryout?

You can absolutely sit in the parent area (designated area) and watch your daughter tryout. Just understand that if the Coaches and/or Club Director feel that you are doing more harm than good, we will ask you to remove yourself. Also take into consideration your daughter, they may or may not want you present. The key is to have them as relaxed as possible so they can show what they have in the short amount of time we have with them!

  • After tryouts how do I know if my daughter makes a team?

After the tryouts have been completed the Club Director will send you a personal email. Those players that make the team have 10 days to decide if they want to play for our club. Confirmation of the spot on the team is an email accepting the spot, signed Memorandum of Understanding and receiving the payment of $200.00.

  • How many girls make a team?

After tryouts we invite 9 girls and have a minimum of 3 alternates. We keep 9 players per team unless the coach request less or more. Younger ages traditionally can have 10 players per team but no more than 10. The older ages have requested 8 players in years past, but we will not have any less than 8 players per team.
